In high-speed CAN applications, the transceiver IFX1050G acts as an interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical differential bus. It supports data transfer rates from 1kbaud to 1Mbaud. The IFX1050G has three different modes of operation: normal mode, receive only mode and standby mode. Mode selection is controlled by logical input pins RM and INH. The IC is based on smart power supply technology SPT®, which allows bipolar and CMOS control circuits to conform to DMOS power devices on the same single chip. The IFX1050G is designed to withstand harsh conditions in industrial applications and provide excellent EMC performance over a wide frequency range.
