Πρόλογος
Εμείς κάνουμε τις ευχές πραγματικότητα. Για να είμαστε πιο σαφείς, κάνουμε ιδέες πραγματικότητα. Το ωραιότερο απ'ολα είναι το γεγονός ότι, ότι και να κάνουμε στον τομέα των έργων μας, είναι όλα τύπου Ανοικτού Κώδικα. Ότι έχει να κάνει με κάποιο έργο, είναι διαθέσιμο να το κατεβάσεις. Το μόνο που ζητάμε είναι να είσαστε ενεργό μέλος της κοινότητάς μας και να συνεισφέρετε τις γνώσεις ή απόψεις σας όπως το κάνουν και άλλοι. Για να κάνεις την ευχή σου πραγματικότητα, το μόνο που χρειάζεται είναι να το ευχηθείς. Τα βήματα που χρειαζόμαστε να ακολουθήσετε δεν είναι αρκετά έτσι ώστε να αρχίσουμε τον σχεδιασμό της ιδέας σας. What's NextAfter the above steps have been completed we initiate a new Project in our Projects section. An initial project has a default layout with our basic steps, steps required for finishing it as well as for adding comments, additions, files, conversations or other data related to it. Our Project management section has the ability to invite or add new members to a project, finance a project, keep an up to date file list as well as many other features for making the development as pleasant and informative as possible. Notifications about the progress as well as member involvement are sent to the project members (you included) to keep you up to date with anything we do. If there are any questions or suggestions regarding your wish that we or others might want to add then messages or comments are placed in the Projects section. If your wish is clear and you know exactly what you want then the process from the initialization to the finished product is much faster. All this depends on the knowledge you posses on the subject since we also help and suggest alternative ways of achieving your goal and explain if necessary any technical details about your idea. Making the development not only a technical subject but also an educational one. Once a Gizmo is complete we post it in our shop. Anyone can purchase the Gizmo for the same price with no exceptions. Initially we produce small quantities and according to the order needs we produce more. Although we produce small quantities, we try and keep the price as low as possible so that the Gizmo is affordable to everyone. The price for each Gizmo is defined only in the final stages of development and calculated according to the quantities required. No-one is forcing anyone to purchase anything. If you have made a wish and see that you simply cannot afford it or don't need it anymore then simply don't buy it. Since we post the finished Gizmo in our Shop, it is available to everyone. There are many people that need all sort of devices for their Projects or want to exploit the functionality of a device in their own idea.
Commercial EntitiesAlthough public hardware and software development is our main function, we also develop products for commercial purposes for many entities. We can develop a completely finished product which is ready for commercial sales. Leave it up to us to design the mechanics, enclosure, PCB, do all the R&D and anything else required to present a finished device. If your company has an idea or a product that needs development and you don't know where to start then you have come to the right place. Contact our Information desk and we shall be more than happy to asses your project and find the best solution for your needs. All development will be covered under NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and plans as well as Software rights or any other material will be yours after the development is complete, based on the agreement that will be made.
Important things to knowAs you will notice in our Projects section, there is a specific priority for each project. That priority is defined by the following criteria:
FinancingThis part basically means that the largest project financing amount gets the highest priority in the Queue. This clarifies the importance of the project to the one making the wish as well as the dedication required to finish it. The total financed budget is visible in the Projects section so that other people could see the amount and decide how important their wish is to them and if the budget needs to be increased to get it done faster. Polls & VotingFinancing is not the only thing responsible for the projects priority. Each project has a Poll where people can vote if they actually need this or not. If there are less than 10 people that actually need this, then we just make as many as you would like and keep the priority defined by the financed budget. If the interest for a Gizmo is higher than 10 people then we treat the project accordingly and set the priority as we see fit since if more people need your idea the better it is for us. ResourcesMany projects might be complex and require a high amount of research and expensive components. In this case we evaluate if we have enough founds as well as time for making the wish and define the priority accordingly. Initially we invest in every Gizmo and it's development from our own founds and take upon us the risk of selling it. This is an important phase in the evaluation of a project and the priority although strict, is still fair towards every other project being developed.
Hardware NoteAs you have noticed in our Shop, we sell Hardware, the Gizmos that other people wished for or our own designs. This is something that you must understand and distinguish Hardware from Software. Software can be written, shared and developed by an entire community for Free without any financial loss. Exchanging files and ideas.
General NoteWe have a fully Open Source support for all the hardware we manufacture so that everyone could contribute to any of our Gizmos and collaborate with other people. Every time we set out to build a new Gizmo or an already existing one from our shop we see how many people order it and vote for it. We make an order for the quantity of parts that would be required for making that many devices. For this reason you might see some if not most of our Gizmos to be out of stock or in small quantities. Since we build them by hand we do not build a Gizmo unless it has been ordered.
User's Terms and ConditionsAll Gizmo designs available on our website as well as the software created for those Gizmos are covered by Open Source Licensing. Hardware designs made by rdGizmo For You LTD are covered by CERN OHL (Open Hardware License). All software developed for any of our Gizmos is covered by GNU GPL. Όλα ξεκινούν απο μία ιδέα. Για παράδειγμα ας πούμε ότι έχετε μια ιδέα για συσκευή που θα ανάβει μία λάμπα ή άλλο διακόπτη με το να στέλνετε SMS μηνύματα ή χρησιμοποιώντας ένα μικρό τηλεκοντρόλ. Η ιδέα μπορεί να είναι οτιδήποτε σχετικό με την τεχνολογία ή κάποια συσκευή. Εάν νομίζετε ότι η ιδέα σας δεν έχει ήδη πραγματοποιηθεί από κάποιο άλλο οργανισμό, εταιρεία ή άτομο ή εάν υπάρχει ήδη κάτι παρόμοιο αλλά όχι ακριβός αυτό που χρειάζεστε, τότε καλά κάνατε που μας βρήκατε.
